After rolling out their initial lineup last month, organizers behind Calgary's Sled Island festival have added even more acts to their 2019 event.
The latest round of additions includes Rapsody, Jessica Pratt, Har Mar Superstar, Jack Harlow, Michael Christmas, Muqata'a, King Ayisoba, Ian Blurton's Future Now, Graham Van Pelt, anybodys, Blessed, Blue Odeur, the Garrys, Jo Passed, Lemongrab, Marlaena Moore, Motherhood, Sister Ray, Big Evil Rat, EXITS, Gym Tonic, Life In Vacuum, Wine Lips, Justin Wright, Leucrocuta, Lex Leosis, Matthew Cardinal, Natural Sympathies, Physical Copies and Psychic Pollution.
A new addition from 2019 guest curator Julien Baker is the inclusion of poet/activist/singer-songwriter Tasha. Sled Island will also play host to a pair of acts from Korea, with psych rockers DTSQ and electro-pop trio numnum appearing in the lineup.
Furthermore, the festival has loaded up on local Calgary talent, including Melted Mirror, DRI HIEV, the Shiverettes, Lashes, Sunglaciers, Sinzere, Paradise, Ih Bo Lyn, Chron Goblin, Corinthian and NETRVNNER.
Those acts will join a lineup that already includes Japanese Breakfast, JPEGMAFIA, Le1f, Hop Along, Bully, Cass McCombs, the Messthetics, William Basinski and more.
A press release points to 180 more bands, comedy, film, art and special events programming being announced in the coming months. The festival takes place from June 19 to 23 at various venues across Calgary.
