Since Sinéad O'Connor's death last year, tributes to the late singer have continued to pour in. Now, Bratz is honouring her with a concept doll for Women's History Month.
Showcasing her iconic buzzcut and "Jesus is coming — look busy" shirt, the mock-up of O'Connor's doll has her in sunglasses, baggy jeans and holding a rosary-like purse shaped like the Bratz logo.
"Women’s Month continues with Sinéad O'Connor, an Irish singer, songwriter, and activist with a passion for 90z [sic] grunge fashion," the doll house wrote on social media. "O'Connor, who passed away in 2023, first debuted her scorchin’ buzzcut in 1987 when she was just 20 years old — two years after she signed her record deal. Her debut studio album, The Lion and the Cobra, was released in 1987 and achieved international chart success!"
The singer joins Chappell Roan, Normani, Miley Cyrus and others who were Bratz-ified in March. Similarly, Shania Twain received her own Barbie doll this month.
O'Connor died of natural causes last July. The likes of Tori Amos, boygenius, Alanis Morissette and Foo Fighters have all paid their respects to her since, and Morrissey made his only-ever correct statement when he blasted the press for their accolades which came "too late."
