The last we heard from glammy disco-rock troupe Scissor Sisters, the outfit were prepping new tunes for an upcoming Fraggle Rock movie. A note delivered by the band to their fans via Facebook on Christmas Day now confirms that they've been working on an album too.
"We hope you are having a great Christmas and looking forward to a very exciting 2012 filled with new music, shows, and surprises. One such surprise is coming your way sooner than you thought!" the group wrote. "We've spent 2011 making an album that we're really proud of and can't wait to share with you. Because you've been such good boys and girls, we'll be kicking off 2012 with a sneak peek of a brand new song to whet your appetite for what's to come."
It's unclear whether or not the new album is something completely different than the Fraggle Rock score, but all should be revealed next Monday (January 2) when the troupe debuts "Shady Love" on BBC Radio 1. The track will drop over the airwaves during on-air personality Annie Mac's program, but you'll also be able to hear the song online the same day.
