Savages Hint at New EP

A follow-up to UK post-punk quartet Savages breakthrough debut Silence Yourself may not be that far off from hitting out ears, with the wiry act revealing that an EP is currently in the works.

Speaking with Australia's Triple J radio station, Savages vocalist Jehnny Beth confirmed that a mini-release is on the way. While an official ETA for the EP was not given, Beth noted that it will feature at least a couple of exclusive tracks, with one being a live take of a previously unrecorded song and another being a cover of proto-punk icons Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream."

"We're going to release a song that we play live called 'Fuckers.' We recorded it live from a show did in London last fall at The Forum," Beth explained, adding that the release will pop up on vinyl.

At present, neither the band's North American label Matador nor UK label home Pop Noire has confirmed the release.
