Samantha Urbani, founding member of Brooklyn-based indie pop band Friends, has announced her debut solo album, Showing Up, out September 22 via Lucky Number Music.

The album was co-produced by Urbani and Nick Weiss a.k.a. Nightfeelings, and features collaborations with renowned pianist John Carroll Kirby, Rostam (Vampire Weekend) and Stuart Matthewman a.k.a. Cottonbelly (Sade).

To coincide with the album announcement, Urbani has shared "One Day at a Time," the second single from the upcoming album following last month's "More Than a Feeling."

Urbani said about the track, "I am the tough guy and I am dead serious. I am an advocate, a protector, and an activist. I'm also a total crusher and yolo'er and I take the sweet risks and I justify it all to myself even when I know I myself am being the idiot. This is basically the cutie goofer song about wanting the player and drawing it out."

Check out the music video for "One Day at a Time" below, created by Urbani with animators Leon Knight and Corrinne James.
