They might not actually be living in Alberta anymore, but Toronto-based Rural Alberta Advantage play gritty-sounding indie rock like theyre still passing by prairie oil fields on a daily basis. The trio didnt try to pull any tricks or make anything about their performance over-the-top, which is exactly what works for them. Their roots rock is meant for plain T-shirts and jeans, and thats exactly what they gave: straight-up, barebones, energy-filled folk.
