Now in its second season, the innovative youth-led Cloud 9 Electronic Music Festival — the latest project from nonprofit No. 9 Contemporary Art and Environment — returns to the 50-acre No.9 Gardens in Rideau Lakes, ON, this September 8 to 10.

The three-day camping fest channels the energy of the arts into community and sustainability, with workshops, guided tours through the gladed fields of large-scale eco-art installations presented in partnership with Kingston's Agnes Etherington Art Centre, local vendors and a full day of live DJ sets, featuring performances from Korea Town Acid, CIEL, Pascale Project, Sterling Grove + Ellyn Woods, Louke Man, BAILE, Ceremonies and Ilan Sikorsky.

"At its core, leading a sustainable life is about sharing experiences with the people you love, being vulnerable and comfortable in self-expression, and supporting your greater community," Cloud 9's music lead Rupert Davies said in a press release. "I believe electronic music has a rich history in uniting people together and providing a space for people to show their true selves. The genre also has a strong energy attached to it that I believe is essential for motivating younger generations to enact change. We selected artists we thought really embodied those qualities of electronic music."

"The younger generation has a lot of anxieties about climate change and colonial violence," added 23-year-old festival co-director Reily Morrison. "That's why we are channelling our energy into curating an eco-focused festival. We believe in the power of art and music to spark social change and give Canadians a chance to connect."

Tickets are on sale now at early-bird prices starting at $59.99, with general admission, camping pass, all-access pass, volunteer pass and vendor pass options available.
