Northern Lights Festival Boréal is returning to Sudbury this summer, and organizers have unveiled the details for the event's 2023 edition.
Shows will take place from July 6 to 9 at Bell Park, with headlining performances from Lindsay, ON, alt-rockers the Strumbellas (July 6) and Toronto-based rock stalwarts Sloan (July 8).
Festival organizers also announced that the Montreal-based folk band Mountain City Four would perform for one of the first times since the '70s, with Martha Wainwright standing in for her late mother Kate McGarrigle during their headlining show on July 9.
Acadian singer-songwriter Zachary Richard rounds out the headliners on July 7, which will be a special francophone program.
Other performers include Valdy, Fast Romantics, Korea Town Acid, Ammoye, Fembots, Adrian Sutherland, Mehdi Cayenne, Richard Inman, Kate Maki, Laura Niquay and more.
Organizers are introducing a red carpet party for the first time this year to go along with the additional festivities, including visual arts displays, food vendors, after-hours club shows and more.
Full festival passes are on sale now for $125. Youth (15-25) passes are listed at $100, and kids 14 and under get free admission.
Further ticketing information, including day pass sales, can be found at the NLFB's official website.
