No doubt relieving his fans, rapper Rick Ross has revealed that the seizures he endured a few weeks back supposedly stemmed from a lack of sleep and not a more serious affliction.
A few weeks back, the rap world got a scare when the Bawse suffered a seizure on a flight to Memphis, TN, forcing the jet to return to a Fort Lauderdale airport so he could seek medical attention. He then suffered a second seizure shortly after the plane took off again.
While the incidents had some questioning the hip-hop star's health, he assured the hosts of BET's 106 & Park [via Billboard] that he's okay.
"I'm feeling wonderful," Ross said, before explaining the seizures were apparently incurred because of his bad sleeping habits. He revealed that being on the road and heading Maybach Music has meant he hasn't enjoyed a solid eight hours of sleep in over five years.
"I would get two hours of sleep and keep moving... that has to stop," Ross furthered of the situation.
Understandably, the MC underwent a "battery of tests" for cancer, diabetes and HIV, but all the results came back negative. "I came back totally healthy," he quipped.
Despite Ross saying that he hopes to take things a bit easier these days, he has a busy schedule ahead of him. As previously reported, his new album God Forgives, I Don't drops on December 13 via Def Jam. In his BET interview, he even added that Jay-Z will pop on the record, along with already revealed guests like Nicki Minaj and Drake.
