Rage Against the Machine's big reunion tour was meant to be the talk of 2020 before the coronavirus threw a wrench into things. We already knew that the band would never become "sellouts" who do drive-in shows, but it wasn't exactly clear when the tour would happen. We now know — it's set to take place in 2022.
Once again, the rap-rock icons will be joined by rappers Run the Jewels for a trek that brings them all over North America.
There are plenty of Canadian stops on the tour, including shows in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Quebec City, Hamilton and Toronto.
"It was already going to be something really special without getting into it, like we were doing things that we never done before, and we're all better musicians than we've ever been before," bassist Tim Commerford had told TMZ about the tour. "The music was all time and it was just exciting. It was going to be a really great new version, a new exciting version of Rage, you know?"
