In keeping with our play-by-play of Propagandhis upcoming new full-length, Winnipegs biggest punk exports have announced the album is now finished, adding that a tour for the new year is in the works.
"For the first time in the last ten years we have completed a record on schedule!, the band write on their website. "It is a killer record!! Everything went really well. Were really excited for everyone to hear it. We will begin touring all over the place in February 2009!! Prepare yourself!!!!!!!! (By all the exclamation points, we can only assume Propagandhi are pretty pumped about all this.)
As previously reported, the group have in recent months been recording the follow-up to their 2005 effort, Potemkin City Limits, at their Winnipeg-based Illegal Combatant Studios and the Blasting Room in Colorado. The bands Chris Hannah has said there will be about 13 tracks on the yet-untitled new record and that it will be out via Fat Wreck.
Propagandhi have still not firmed up a release date for the album, a complete tracklisting or their tour dates, but were guessing it wont be long before they drop us another quick note on their progress.
In the meantime, heres something to chew on:
