Seattle post-hardcore/punk band Pretty Girls Make Graves formed in 2001, releasing three albums — 2002's Good Health, 2003's The New Romance and 2006's Élan Vital — before calling it quits in 2007 after the departure of founding drummer Nick Hewitt. Now it seems like they might be staging a comeback, having announced their first concert in 17 years.

As the band announced today on Instagram, speakers will, in fact, push the air on September 20 when PGMG perform a hometown gig at the Showbox.

Notably, their return was already hinted at late last year when the lineup for emo nostalgia-fest When We Were Young was announced. Pretty Girls Make Graves were indeed included on the bill for the Las Vegas music festival, where they're set to perform The New Romance in full on October 19. So while that may have technically been announced first, the Seattle concert will happen beforehand — and the fact that they've booked at least one show of their own is probably a good sign that there may be more to come from PGMG.
