Tribal French indie rock fusion? What their Pop Montreal show proved, regardless, is that theyre a bunch of good time-enjoying, scarily talented musicians. From "Faerie Dance, which builds from slow and funky to a bat-shit crazy French tribal chant, to "Mercy, which rides a feverish tambourine into a full-on rock climax, Plants and Animals are a sweaty, beer-soaked good time.
