Petitioners Want Rome from Sublime with Rome to Join At the Drive-In

Texan post-hardcore greats At the Drive-In recently unveiled plans for a massive 2016 reunion tour, but it sadly won't involve founding guitarist Jim Ward, who exited the group last month. Now, some smart ass music fans have a hilarious idea for who should replace him.

A Change.org petition has arrived demanding that At the Drive-In swap out Ward with pinch hitter Rome Ramirez — best known for stepping in to front Sublime in the fittingly titled act Sublime with Rome.

Leilani Fairweather started the petition, and shared the following statement on Change.org:

Many fans are sorely disappointed by the announcement that Jim Ward will not be taking part in the At The Drive In reunion. There is only one way to make this up to the fans, and that is by replacing him with Rome! Rome has already proven himself to be a more than adequate replacement for Bradley Nowell of Sublime, and could certainly handle filling in for ATDI.

It's hard to argue with that logic, really. The petition hasn't quite taken off just yet, but now's your chance to get in on the ground floor and make At the Drive-In with Rome a reality. That's just democracy in action.
