Infamous Libertines singer Pete Doherty is once again in trouble with the law. The British artist has been arrested in Paris for buying cocaine.
Doherty was stopped last night (November 7) by Paris police while engaging in a drug transaction, the Associated Press reports. The 40-year-old was placed in detention overnight, but it's so far unclear what charges the singer may now be facing.
According to French media reports, Doherty was carrying two grams of cocaine when he was arrested in Pigalle. As of press time, however, Doherty's reps have issued no comment on the arrest.
Of course, Doherty — who also fronts Babyshambles — is no stranger to troubles with the law. Over the years, he has been repeatedly arrested on drug charges.
