Toronto's People You Know like to mix their indie rock with power pop hooks. The all-girl trio played an energetic set that far outstripped their limited recorded output. And while there were criticisms to be made — their live chops aren't quite up to par and their sound is fairly derivative — they exuded enough enthusiasm to win over most of the night's early crowd. The only kink in the armour was an ill-advised cover of Metric's "Dead Disco." PYK's take was uninspired and stuck out like a sore thumb in an otherwise solid set.
