If you got to Opera House late hoping to get in to see Hot Water Music, you were out of luck -- the place filled up with a ton of anxious fans well before they hit the stage. After all, there haven't been many chances to catch these Gainesville punks since they reunited a few years back. But everyone who was lucky enough to be there would probably agree that it was well worth the wait. Hot Water Music played as though they had never stopped, tearing through an arsenal of fan favourites. Even though Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard were spot on with their signature dual vocals, one highlight was definitely when they brought up good friend Dave Hause (the Loved Ones) to take over the vox for 2002's "Trusty Chords." But let's not forget songs like "Paper Thin" and "Remedy," which made for some serious sing- (or scream-) alongs as well. Here's to hoping Hot Water Music keep this reunion going strong.
