Oneohtrix Point Never is a scientist of sound, a man whose electronic entities are living, breathing organisms that flourish alongside a mind-altering visual component. The key word in this case being "visuals," something that The Great Hall just couldn't seem to get right, much to the chagrin of OPN's Daniel Lopatin. After a 15-minute delay, a thumbs up from Lopatin was immediately followed by stark burst of luscious drones that filled the room, leading things off with "Still Life." The melting 3-D landscapes, oozing with liquified hues of blues and greys, left the room transfixed on the climatic rebirth of the much acclaimed album R Plus Seven. His set saw time and space drift further apart, as Lopatin remained noticeably annoyed by the earlier problems but still happy to please all the cool freaks in attendance.
