More than a thousand musicians gathered to perform Foo Fighters' "My Hero" in honour of the late Taylor Hawkins over the weekend (May 21) at Stade de France, a national stadium located just north of Paris.

The Fabio Zaffagnini-spearheaded ensemble — the self-proclaimed "biggest rock band on Earth" known as Rockin'1000, who were the subject of 2021 documentary We Are the Thousand — comprises musicians from 25 different countries singing and playing 10 different kinds of instruments.

The massive band originally came together in 2015 in an effort to get the Foos out to play a show in Cesena, Italy, performing a massive cover of "Learn to Fly" in a field. After Rockin'1000 hit a viral moment with their video, Dave Grohl and co. came out to Cesena later that same year to perform.

This latest France production was their first performance since 2019, and included a 21-song set of covers. Watch their "My Hero" cover below.
