Nicolas Winding Refn Unveils Comp Inspired by 'The Neon Demon' Featuring Giorgio Moroder, Sparks, Suicide

Director Nicolas Winding Refn delivered his horror The Neon Demon last year and has now planned to give viewers insight into songs that inspired the film with a new vinyl compilation.

Titled The Wicked Die Young, the compilation will feature work from Electric Youth, Suicide, Giorgio Moroder, Dionne Warwick, Sparks, previous collaborator Cliff Martinez and his son Julian Winding, in addition to many others.

Refn is recognized for treating music with the same importance as imagery when it comes to his work. "Even when I shoot films I play music on set, in between takes," he told FACT in 2015. "It helps you convey emotion better for actors — and brings people to a place of being that helps their performance."

The Wicked Die Young will arrive on April 14 through Milan Records, with pre-orders available through Amazon here. Read through the tracklist below.
