Despite recently setting a June release date for Queen, Nicki Minaj has broke the bad news that the album will be delay.
Today Minaj took to Twitter to let us know Queen will no longer be arriving on June 15, and now the release date for the album will be August 10.
Explaining the delay, Minaj added, "I love my label, but I'm happy that I've always been blessed to have the freedom and the creativity to do what I want when I want how I want it... Trust me, it's the better choice."
Minaj made the initial announcement about the Queen release at the Met Gala while on the red carpet following the release of her most recent singles "Barbie Tingz" and "Chun-Li."
More recently, Minaj was the guest on Saturday Night Live on May 19.
When Queen does arrive — now in August — it will mark Minaj's first album since 2014's The Pinkprint.
