Nate Mendel Takes Lieutenant on North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 2, 2015

Foo Fighters bassist Nate Mendel will be leading his new Lieutenant project across North American stages this spring to help support soon-to-be-released debut If I Kill This Thing We're All Going to Eat for a Week.

As previously reported, the nine-song set will be released March 10 through Dine Alone Records. Mendel has now revealed a show schedule that starts up a couple of weeks later out at Austin's SXSW festival. The majority of Lieutenant's tour dates take place in the U.S., but there is a Canadian show scheduled to hit Toronto's Mod Club on April 1.

You'll find all of the date and venue details down below.

As previously reported, Mendel handled songwriting and vocal duties on If I Kill This Thing We're All Going to Eat for a Week, which was tracked with producer Toshi Kashai between road trips with the Foo Fighters.

The record also features appearances from Mendel's Sunny Day Real Estate bandmate Jeremy Enigk, Foo Fighters comrade Chris Shiflett, Helmet's Page Hamilton, Modest Mouse's Joe Plumber, and more. Live performances have found Mendel playing with Kashai, Fleet Foxes' Christian Wargo, the Bronx's Jorma Vik and more.
