Just yesterday (March 4), we received word that boozy Kentucky rockers My Morning Jacket were planning on releasing a new album, Circuital, this spring. Now, the band have unveiled their plans for rolling out their new single, as well as some exclusive live tracks.
For six weeks, the band will offer free downloads from their website. The first five weeks will be live versions of old songs recorded last October at Terminal 5 in NYC. During the band's five-night run, they played each of their five previous albums from front to back.
That means that My Morning Jacket will be sharing a live recording of one song from each of their past LPs. The first track in the series is "Butch Cassidy," from 1999's The Tennessee Fire, and it's available now through the widget below. From here, the band will drop a track a week until April 12, when they will share an unheard song from Circuital.
You can sign up for the T5 Countdown to Circuital in the widget below. If you do, you will automatically receive free downloads in your email inbox, starting with "Butch Cassidy."
