Mother Mother has released the fiery, hallucinogenic video for "Hayloft II," the sequel to 2008's "Hayloft," which went viral on TikTok in 2020. The video itself is also a sequel, this time to the video for the original "Hayloft" that the band shared earlier this month.
The video for "Hayloft II" was directed by Emma Higgins and concludes the story that began in the first video. About the decision to create a sequel to "Hayloft," lead singer Ryan Guldemond said:
We have learned more about the story of "Hayloft" through our fans [than] we ever could have unearthed ourselves. We began to ask, is there more to this story? And the resounding answer seemed to be 'yes!' It was an ambitious task to try to do justice to a story, and to characters, that have grown far beyond the initial intention of the song. We hope that the sequel in both song and video form honour and live up to what our incredible fans have helped "Hayloft" to become.
"Hayloft II" alongside the deluxe edition of Mother Mother's latest album INSIDE. The new edition features seven new recordings, including latest single "Life."
