Although this album has the tendency to not stand out from the very first listen, you soon begin to realise that the more you allow it to soak into your skin, the more it endears itself to you like an old favourite that has yet to be worn in. It has the potential of being one of those albums you always return to, no matter how much time has passed, and it will still ignite something within you that feels at ease without that lethargic aftertaste of banality. The Red Tree keeps a fairly steady pace, dropping down only to emphasise momentary moods and deeper meanings before heading back into their mix of rock with a sort of modernised punk sound and driving drum beats. The Brampton, ON boys do Canada proud with their latest album, offering up an energetic movement in music that has pop hooks that remain to the left of the stereotypical, so do like your beloved old sweater and throw it on again and again.
