Metallica's James Hetfield Narrated a Porn Addiction Documentary

Metallica frontman James Hetfield lent his recognizable voice to a cartoon character last year, but the latest voiceover project he's signed on for comes with a much more serious tone, having narrated a new documentary that looks at pornography addiction.

Addicted to Porn: Chasing the Cardboard Butterfly takes a look at the impacts of porn addiction both on individuals and cultures around the globe. The film is fourth documentary from Justin Hunt, who previously interviewed Hetfield for his 2011 doc Absent.

Featuring interviews from some of the world's leading researchers on the issue, Hunt's film explores how porn affects the human brain and society as a whole, focusing on technological advance and a lack of public education. Even though Hetfield will narrate, the subject matter certainly isn't something to "yeeeaaaahaaaaah" about.

Blabbermouth reports that the documentary is expected to see release in April through Video On Demand. Watch a trailer for Addicted to Porn: Chasing the Cardboard Butterfly in the player below.
