As many people across the world are confined to their homes to combat the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, some have taken to serenading their communities by performing on their balconies (like this Italian guy shredding Slayer's "Raining Blood").
Joining in the chorus is long-running festival POP Montreal, whose leaders are organizing a balcony singalong of Leonard Cohen's "So Long, Marianne" this Sunday (March 22) at 8 p.m. local time.
Leading the proceedings will be Cohen's friend and mentee Martha Wainwright, whose voice will be available to livestream as a "virtual choirmaster."
More details (and the song's lyrics) are available via the Facebook event. Start practising by listening to Cohen's 1967 classic below.
