Marilyn Manson Bass Player Twiggy Ramirez Accused of Rape

Following the disturbing onslaught of recent sexual assault allegations, longtime Marilyn Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez has been accused of rape, as well as physical and psychological abuse.

The very serious allegations come from his former girlfriend Jessicka Addams of riot grrrl band Jack Off Jill, with Addams taking to Facebook this afternoon (October 20) to tell her story. Addams dated Twiggy Ramirez — who was born Jeordie Osbourne White and also played in such bands as Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle — in the 1990s. According to her statement, their relationship was an especially volatile one, with Addams claiming Ramirez was violent towards her — both physical, mentally and emotionally — and once even allegedly raped her.

Down below you can read her full statement.

Addams states that while these alleged incidents happened more than 20 years ago, she is now telling her story in solidarity with the many women who have also recently come forward with their stories of abuse.

As of press time, Ramirez has yet to respond to the allegations.

UPDATE (10/23, 8 a.m. EDT): Following the allegations, Manson issued the following statement, "I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend. I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka's obvious distress."
