The man charged with shooting Lady Gaga's dog walker and stealing her two French Bulldogs was mistakenly released from jail on Wednesday (April 6).
As reported by NBC, The charges against James Howard Jackson, 19, appeared to have been dismissed at a court hearing on Wednesday. However, they were scheduled to be replaced with a superseding grand jury indictment. That superseding indictment was allegedly not updated in the records, and so Jackson was released from custody prematurely. Los Angeles police are now searching for Jackson.
Jackson is one of three men charged in the attempted murder and robbery, in which Jackson allegedly shot Ryan Fischer and abducted Gaga's dogs Koji and Gustav.
According to the LAPD, the robbers didn't know that they were stealing the pets of a megastar and were simply looking to nab French bulldogs, designer dogs that go for high prices.
Gaga's dogs were returned to her two days after the attack by a woman who knew the suspects.
