Pioneering shoegaze band Lush recently reunited and confirmed plans to return to the stage on May 6 and 7 in London. Before that, they will reissue their discography in a box set called Chorus, and having previously hinted that the release was coming, they have now shared the full details of the collection.
Chorus will be out on December 4 before arriving in North American stores on January 22. The release will be handled by 4AD.
The box consists of five albums: the early compilation Gala (1990), the three official full-lengths — Spooky (1992), Split (1994) and Lovelife (1996) — plus the B-sides comp Topolino (1996). All told, there are 105 tracks, with all of the discs boosted by extras like radio sessions, demos, alternate mixes and various rarities. A number of the songs are previously unreleased.
The five CDs come housed in a hardbound book designed by longtime associate Chris Bigg. That's a picture of the set above and the full running order below. It can be pre-ordered here for £27 ($54 CAD).
If you'd rather hear the band's music on wax instead of CD, the best-of set Ciao! will be pressed on double red vinyl for Record Store Day's Black Friday event (November 27). This will be the comp's first vinyl release.
