Lion Babe frontwoman Jillian Harvey statuesque beauty seemed to turn heads the second she and Lucas Goodman graced the stage with their live band in toe. The neo soul group played some of the more notable tracks from their debut EP, a collection of songs that bridge funked-out, warm blooded soul and infectious pop hooks, delivered with big energy as Harvey's golden brown mane shimmered in the wind while she danced and sung her heart out. "Wonder Woman" got the crowd bopping once the beats begun to flow from the speakers. Harvey's syrupy vocals dripped like honey atop of some groovy riffs and smooth drums, her impeccable range tapped with a narrow vibrato strikingly similar to the soulful flavors of legends like Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill. The soul claps just kept coming once their set ended with "Treat Me Like Fire," an old song given new life with slick bass lines and big cymbal crashes. By the end, Harvey's ferocious stage presence had won over the crowd, all of which cheered wildly as soon as the music faded and Lion Babe took their final bow.
