The much-missed Kings of Convenience are finally returning with a new album next month, marking their first in over a decade. Today the harmony-loving Norwegian duo are giving us another glimpse at Peace or Love via the newly shared track "Fever."
The song follows the previously shared "Rocky Trail" and finds the pair of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe embracing a more bossa-nova feel, all the while weaving in their delicate guitar work and just the right amount of strings and piano.
"'Fever' is the song on Peace or Love that was the quickest to write, born from a pure and simple burst of inspiration" explained Øye in a statement. "The recording and arranging however, was as usual a long process, culminating in Eirik adding the riveting piano outro in the albums final days of recording in February 2020."
Listen to "Fever" for yourself below.
Peace or Love arrives on June 18 via EMI Records. It marks the follow-up to 2009's Declaration of Dependence.
