Best known for his head-banging garage rock riffs and sweet power pop melodies, Vermont songwriter Kyle Thomas' project King Tuff captivates listeners not only with music, but also with his charismatic personality.
During his stop in Toronto for Canadian Music Week, we got the opportunity to experience it firsthand by bringing King Tuff and his live band members to Long and McQuade, where they performed an acoustic rendition of "Wild Desire" for Exclaim! TV.
Right off the bat, Thomas' personality shines through and continues throughout the session as he forgets the lyrics and bounces back effortlessly. Despite the absence of their signature distorted guitar effects, the members still played the song's heavy riffs like true garage rockers, all while sitting down.
