Kendrick Lamar has unveiled the artwork for his highly-anticipated album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

The cover art (above) sees the rapper standing with his back to the camera, a gun tucked into his waistband and a crown of thorns atop his head, embracing a child. In the background sits a woman — actor Lauren London, presumed to be the wife of Lamar's character — nursing another baby.

His fifth project to date, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers will be his first since 2017's DAMN., and will mark his final release with Top Dawg Entertainment. Lamar announced the separation from the label in a statement last August after creating his own imprint, pgLang.

The latest in the series of "The Heart" songs, Lamar shared the deepfake-filled video for single "The Heart Part 5" on Sunday (May 8), amidst rumours of his upcoming release possibly being a double album

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is due for release this Friday (May 13).
