Kendrick Lamar Teases 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers' as a Possible Double Album

The follow-up to 2017's 'DAMN.' is due to arrive next week

If you thought To Pimp a Butterfly was long, just you wait: Kendrick Lamar has seemingly revealed that his forthcoming new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers — the first since 2017's Pulitzer-winning DAMN. — will be a double feature.

The news comes via a new file posted to Lamar's Oklama website titled "Master," containing the photo seen above. As you can see, the hip-hop marvel is holding two discs, teasing that we may indeed be getting into double trouble with this one.

Of course, nothing's been confirmed (and, as aforementioned, his LPs tend to emphasize the long, so he might simply be in need of more than one disc to contain the album's runtime), but the rapper would probably be the last to play it straight — we'll have to wait and see exactly how big he's steppin' next week.

Lamar announced his return last month, tweeting a link to the website with the first new folder uploaded since the page first launched in August 2021. The folder contained a press release, which promptly went viral, sharing that the artist's "final TDE album" would finally be arriving on May 13.
