Kayla Luky hails from the small farm community of Grandview, MB, but her music reaches far beyond the borders of her hometown. Luky's latest album Back to Dirt is out this week, and you can now get an advance listen to the LP.
Boasting 12 tracks "soaked in alcohol, dirt and sorrow," the new record was produced by Murray Pulver.
It opens with the twangy "Bottom of a Bottle," then moves up into the ode to boomeranging back to lost love, "Comfort and Wrong." Elsewhere, the natural landscape gets turned into song on "These Plains" and "Bed of Daisies," before returning to more booze-centric fare with "Pour Me a Strong Us" and "The Bar Is Closing." The warm-sounding, vintage country-tinged set of songs all wraps up with "Little Lies," paying homage to the rollercoaster-esque nature of relationships.
Back to Dirt is officially out on January 20, but you can listen to the full album right now below. Just scroll through Luky's upcoming live dates and hit play.
