The retail giant is accused of making an "unauthorized exact copy"

Following Walmart's recent trademark dispute with Kanye West, the rapper is now firing back at the retail giant with his own lawsuit. According to Kanye, Walmart has totally stolen the design of his Yeezy Foam Runners.

Yes, we too do not understand why anyone would want to steal such an eye-sore of a design, but West has filed a lawsuit against Walmart claiming the company has straight up copied his footwear, causing customer confusion and potentially costing him hunders of millions of dollars in sales, TMZ reports.

West first introduced his Foam Runners in 2019, and they hit the market at $75 USD in 2020, basically selling out instantly. In his lawsuit, West claims Walmart then made an "unauthorized exact copy" and has been selling the shoes for a measly $25 a pop, effectively cashing in on what he started.

According Kanye, he's already sent Walmart a legal warning to pull the shoes from sale, but the retailer has refused to do so. As a result, Kanye is now suing for damages.

As previously reported, Walmart filed a lawsuit against West in April, claiming the similarity between the retailer's logo and that of his Yeezy brand "is likely to cause confusion and lead to consumer deception."
