Exclaim! Class of 2023 grads Kali Horse have released new music. The Toronto rock duo's latest single "Wigs" is out now alongside a music video by Adam Stewart.
Following their 2018 album SLOW, SLOW released as Kaleidoscope Horse, the duo of Sam Maloney and Desiree Das Gupta changed their name, undertaking a new beginning as Kali Horse. They've since released the singles "Anima" and November's "In the Water."
"Wigs" stays on track with its predecessors, with its reverb-heavy guitar driving the instrumentals and supplementing Das Gupta's distorted vocals as she sings of self-discovery.
"Ever wanted to change everything about yourself? 'Wigs' is about trying things on — identity, bravado. Ever had a day so bizarre you felt like a different person? Through self-experimentation you discover a healthy aggression. You remember you're worth a little more than what you've been putting up with, and you want everyone to know," explained the band. "'Wigs' is a command, and Kali Horse will not stay in line."
