Dressed with a camouflage theme, Jungle jammed out their funky sound, and their '70s New York disco-meets-Detroit soul was the perfect afternoon set under a blazing sun, drawing dancing fans in droves.

The London-based band brought an unexpectedly large live energy. The complex layers and spacey sound of their 2014 self-titled debut album created an expectation of laptops and backing tracks driving their performance. Instead fans were rewarded with a full seven-piece live ensemble that was well-orchestrated and impressive.

Frontmen Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson led the band easily through their singles "Platoon" and "The Heat," which were highlights. Their sunny rhythms sounded almost Caribbean at times

Jungle have a young energy and their creative style, engrained in traditional genres, makes their songs appealing and easy to like. It's clear they put a lot of effort into performance and it paid off for Jungle, judging by the warm reception from enthusiastic fans.
