When I reviewed Julia Wolf's debut album Good Thing We Stayed over two years ago, she was making hooky, pop radio-friendly hip-hop. In more recent times, she's embraced heavy, metallic guitars on 2024 singles like "In My Room" and "Last Summer." And guess what? It sounds sick!
The shapeshifting New York City singer-songwriter has now announced a North American leg of a 2025 world tour behind her forthcoming sophomore album, Pressure, which will see her supported by Hamilton's own Ellis and Worry Club. It includes a pair of Canadian gigs in Vancouver and Toronto this June.
Ahead of supporting PVRIS on their European and UK trek in late June/early July, Wolf will headline across North America starting May 29 in Houston, TX. She'll make her first venture to Canada on June 8 for a show at the Pearl in Vancouver, then weave back through the US for some more stateside shows. The second and final Canadian concert will take place at Toronto's Velvet Underground on June 17, with the tour wrapping on June 26 in Nashville, TN.
