Judge Judy Claims Justin Bieber Is "Scared to Death" of Her

Adjourned!

One simply does not dispute the right honourable Judge Judy. If she says Justin Bieber lives in fear of her, you can bet dollars to Timbiebs that it's true.

The gavel of justice came down in a new interview with Access Hollywood, where Judge Judy opened up about her relationship with the pop star — her former neighbour. "He's scared to death of me," she told correspondent Jason Kennedy.

Apparently, the magistrate born Judy Sheinlin struck fear into Bieber's very core when they lived nearby each other prior to his 2014 arrest for driving under the influence. (Yeah, back in the egging era.) Naturally, Judge Judy believes she probably had some choice words about his behaviour — which also included more dangerous driving, racist slurs and assault — that spooked the Canadian.

"It was a period of time before he grew up, when he was foolish, and doing foolish things," she remembered. "So I must have said something about it, and then I understood that he was paying the front door people to let them know when I was there, coming and going, so he wouldn't have to bump into me."

And she did say something: an interview with CBS News from the year of Bieber's (multiple) arrests shows Sheinlin expressing her admonishment for the then-19-year-old singer.

"Being a celebrity is a gift; you can either treat it reverently, or you can make a fool out of yourself, and he's doing a very good job of making a fool out of himself," she told Paul Magers at the time. "And I think it's sad. Nobody's going to remember that he was a marginal singer, but they're going to remember a young kid, who had a chance to have it all, and who is blowing it by acting like a fool."

Clearly, those hallowed words stuck with Bieber, who pledged his allegiance to Justice with his 2021 album. He's also been going to church with Shawn Mendes lately, having suspended his remaining Justice World Tour dates to prioritize his health following his Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis this summer.
