Plasketts intimate folk and jagged rock history may have seemed an odd choice to meld with a 50-odd piece orchestra but the sensitive arrangements brought something special to his work and that, combined with Plasketts showmanship, made it an unforgettable evening. His most recent full-length album, La De Da, was drawn from heavily, though there was room for acoustic versions of "True Patriot Love, Thrush Hermits "Before You Leave and a rapped version of "Extraordinary, by request. Though an irreverent program, the symphony season ticket holders ate it up and Plasketts albums were flying off the merch table.
