When it comes to his dating life, Jamie Foxx has assuredly learned to take the bad with the good. Sometimes, you become a card-carrying member of the mile-high club. Other times, you get dumped by your date after flying them to Canada for a romantic stay in Wasaga Beach, ON.
Foxx detailed the dating anecdote — which we imagine he wouldn't call the Best Night of My Life — in an appearance on the Full Send Podcast last week (February 25). In sharing his love of Toronto, he recalled the time a stay in (and eventually out of) the city led to the dissolution of one particular relationship.
"My girlfriend broke up with me, it was a girl that I was dating in L.A., and I fucked up, it was her birthday," Foxx shared. "[I was in] Toronto and she was in L.A. So I asked, 'what I should do?' and one of my dudes said, 'You've got to take her to Wasaga Beach, bro!'"
"I was like 'babe, they've got a beach! They've got a beach out here!'" Foxx remembered of the promise of the world's longest freshwater beach. He soon learned that the wilds of Ontario aren't terribly similar to the sandy locales of Los Angeles.
"It was a little different, so my girl was like 'what in the blue fuck is going on?'" Foxx shared. "I could understand how it's a whole lot of fun. I had a good time, but she was like, 'I ain't with this shit, this doesn't look like Malibu.'"
You can catch Foxx's Full Send Podcast appearance below, in which he also lauds Toronto citizens' sense of rhythm and the dining and shopping in Yorkville.
Foxx recently reprised his role as Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
