Jack White's frustrating, exciting and ultimately very cool style of touring this year involves announcing shows just a few days before they happen. As a result, it's impossible to know where he's going to be playing next — but his shows have certainly been getting very close to Canada.

White just announced three upcoming shows: Pittsburgh on Thursday (August 29), followed by Columbus, OH, on Saturday (August 31), and then Ann Arbor, MI, next Monday (September 1).

Today, meanwhile, White plays the second of two nights in Washington, D.C.

Looking at a map of the region, this run of shows has taken White on a loop from the East Coast and into the Midwest, hooking around Lake Erie. If he continues on that same trajectory, he could end up in Ontario just in time for the Toronto International Film Festival. Maybe he wants to catch a flick?

That being said, fans shouldn't apply too much logic to White's tour schedule: within nine days in August, he played Atlanta immediately followed by Incheon, South Korea, then Detroit, then Scandinavia.
