Did Former White Zombie Bass Player Sean Yseult Join Ghost?

While Swedish metal outfit Ghost intentionally obscures the identities of their various "Nameless Ghouls," online rumours are running wild about the band's new female bass player being former White Zombie four-stringer Sean Yseult.

After the band kicked off its "Popestar Tour" in Rochester, NY on Friday (September 16), many fans noted that Ghost's current, devil-masked bass player appears to be a woman. This would seemingly be a first for the band.

A photo shared by a fan on Facebook [via Metal Injection] pictures the new band member signing autographs with other members. Many have pointed out the tattoo on her right middle finger as a clue to solving the personnel-related puzzle.

Though nothing has been confirmed just yet, the leading rumours are that the bassist could be Yseult, a friend of the band's, or possibly onetime the Oath guitarist Linnéa Olsson. With the former in mind, a photo of her along with members of Ghost vocalist Papa Emeritus, Glenn Danzig, Phil Anselmo and more had been posted through Prong leader Tommy Victor's Twitter account had surfaced in 2015. This isn't conclusive, by any means, but an interesting development nonetheless.

Considering the anonymity-striving career Ghost have carved out for themselves, don't expect the band to ever come clean about adding an Astro Creep to the ranks. You can ponder that possibility, however, by watching some fan-shot footage from Rochester down below.

Ghost's ongoing "Popestar Tour" runs until the middle of November, with Canadian dates scheduled in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. You'll find a full breakdown on the dates over here.

Sean Yseult founded White Zombie with Rob Zombie in 1985, and played with the group until their break-up in 1998. Earlier this year, the band's early days were celebrated via the extensive It Came from N.Y.C. box set via archival imprint Numero Group.
