Impious

Death Domination

BY Denise FalzonPublished Feb 12, 2010

It's been over 15 years and not only are Swedish death thrashers Impious still ravaging eardrums, they're doing it with more force than ever. For this sixth studio release, they've stuck to their tried and true formula of blazing riffs and machinegun drumming, yet somehow Death Domination packs even more of a punch than earlier Impious releases. Tracks like opener "Abomination Glorified," "Hate Killing Project" and the exceptional "As Death Lives in Me" bring all of the thrashing speed and aggression known to man. These tunes also demonstrate how Impious have perfected their musical formula, with honed dual guitar work by Robin Sorqvist and Valle Adzic, as well as even more belligerent drumming by Mikael Noren. Impious don't disappoint, as Death Domination is yet another classic Swedish extreme metal album from yet another blasphemously underrated band that just get better with age.
