Gabriel Range's David Bowie biopic Stardust goes against the wishes of the late artist's family and will have a distinct shortage of actual Bowie music. Even star Johnny Flynn thinks it's going to get a lot of "flak," and now we can see why: the trailer is here, and it looks cheesy as hell.
The film looks an awful lot like every other Oscar-baiting rock biopic of recent years, complete with Flynn's serviceable Bowie impression (although we haven't heard him sing in the role) and Marc Maron, who is the go-to castee for all '70s roles from now on. Instead of glam rock, the trailer is packed full of schmaltzy inspirational music.

The movie is hitting VOD and limited theatres on November 25.
