The 2022 Grammy Awards may not have been as exciting as last week's Oscars debacle, but Sunday (April 3) night's event still managed to have some moments worth chatting about at the (virtual) water cooler today..

Among this year's biggest winners were Olivia Rodrigo, Jon Batiste, Silk Sonic and Foo Fighters. Rodrigo took home three awards, one each for Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, while Batiste nabbed Best American Roots Performance and Album of the Year — going up against heavyweights Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Lil Nas X and more.

The Foos swept the Rock category, taking home the best of the category's Song, Performance and Album awards. Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars' Silk Sonic and their self-proclaimed "clean sweep" brought home Record of the Year for "Leave the Door Open," as well as Best R&B Song, Song of the Year and a tie with Jazmine Sullivan for Best R&B Performance. Additionally, Arooj Aftab became the first Pakistani singer to win a Grammy. She took home the award for Best Global Performance.

Several Canadians were also recognized at this year's ceremony. Joni Mitchell was awarded Best Historical Album for Joni Mitchell Archives, Vol. 1: The Early Years (1963-1967) after being dubbed MusiCares' 2022 Person of the Year last summer. Alex Cuba took home the award for Best Latin Pop Album for Mendó. Dream Theater — led by Canadian vocalist Kevin LaBrie — won Best Metal Performance. The Weeknd also contributed to this year's Best Melodic Rap Performance with Kanye West's "Hurricane" taking home the win. The ceremony's most prominently nominated Canadian artist, Justin Bieber, lost in all eight of his categories.

Controversially, Louis C.K. won the Grammy for Best Comedy Album for his project Sincerely Louis C.K., in which he jokes about his alleged sexual misconduct. He beat out Kevin Hart, Lewis Black, Chelsea Handler, Nate Bargatze and Lavell Crawford.
