Ontario hardcore upstarts Hellbent have been building their grimy blend of punk, hardcore and thrash for a few years now at DIY spaces all across the country. Now, the band are back with a new 7-inch EP, Dead off the Floor, which is arriving August 23 through Pink Lemonade Records. Hellbent are celebrating the release with a brand new video for their track "King," which features some incredible hand-drawn art courtesy of Dylan Zdrobov.
"Dead off the floor is the early days. Some old songs recorded it was meant to be heard. Raw, fast, messy, and done ourselves. The video was hand-drawn by Dylan Zdrobov, who has drawn just about every piece of artwork we've ever put out there, and our drummer Nick has recorded every release to date," the band said in a statement.
Hellbent also caught some wider attention through fellow Toronto punks PUP for being one of the finalists in their "Free at Last" covers contest. Following this, Hellbent got the opportunity to perform their tribute at one of PUP's most recent hometown shows at the Danforth Music Hall.
