Halifax/Toronto indie rock experimentalists Heaven for Real have announced a new mini-album. Hell's Logo's Pink is due out June 18 on Mint Records, and the single "Platforms" is on all, uh, platforms now.
The band self-recorded and self-produced the collection at Toronto's Coach House Studio in the winter of 2023–2024, in sessions powered by battery and wood stove. "The battery would drain really quick when running all of our recording gear, so we had to do pretty much everything in one take," said the band's J. Scott Grundy in a statement.
Guests include Johnathan Pappo (Ducks Ltd., No Frills) on drums and Laura Jeffery (Laughing, Fountain) backing vocals. The results were mixed by Andrew McLeod (Sunnsetter, Zoon) and Louie Short.
Here "Platforms" below. Scroll past that to see Hell's Logo's Pink's tracklist. This follows the 2022 EP album Energy Bar and EP Sweet Rose Green Winter Desk Top Tell This Side Autumn of the Fighter Hot in a Cool Way.
